Art & Culture

Artistic and cultural production have always been intrinsically linked to the history of the Villa, and they continue to play a central role in the life here at Geggiano also today. For the past twenty years, the Teatrino di Verzura has hosted yearly classical music concerts organized with small ensembles of the Berliner Philarmoniker Orchestra. Recently, the Villa has also been the stage for a programme of contemporary art exhibitions by leading Italian and international contemporary artists.

Sailing

The Santander of Wight, a Philipp Rhodes-designed Bermudian sloop, has been a cherished part of the Boscu Bianchi Bandinelli family since 1964. The yacht was commissioned in 1957 by the famous Hollywood star Richard Greene (who played “Robin Hood” in the first TV series) to R. & W. CLARK LTD., renowned shipwrights at East Cowes on the Island of Wight. In 1999, the boat starred alongside Matt Damon, Jude Law and Gwyneth Paltrow in Anthony Minghella’s adaptation of The Talented Mr. Ripley.

Santander of Wight is now available for private sailing charters, to transport the Geggiano Experience to the blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea.
